New gate and fencing added for security purposes.

Aiming to keep site more secure and all visitors to press call button when arriving on site instead of having unrestricted access into reception area.

OUR SOLUTION

We proposed the installation of an electromagnetic lock for the gate. We installed a black surface mount Dahua IP video intercom system with call button and keypad.

Authorised visitors can use the keypad to release the magnet on entry and unauthorised visitors will press the ‘CALL’ button.

By pressing the call button a video call is started between the gate and the 2 x screens installed inside the building. Both screens ring simultaneously.

The staff can answer the call from either screen (reception or nursery room) and press the unlock button to release the gate magnet. When leaving the site to release the gate we installed a simple green push to exit button

In the event of an emergency or if the relay fails we installed an IP rated green emergency break glass which will drop the power to the magnet when pushed.

The power supply for our gate system is linked through the existing fire alarm system, so in the event of a fire the gate magnet will automatically be released.

In the power supply we have also included a battery backup to keep the gate magnet energised in the event of a power cut.

The system is currently standalone and offline but does have the option to go online and to be able to call a mobile app from the external entry panel and release the gate remotely via the mobile app in the future if required.

There is also an option to add an RFID tag reader to the external keypad if the staff would prefer.
